NOTICE

Short-stay accommodation in Bunbury is in short supply most weekends so it is recommended you book earlier than later or you will miss out. Also, the WA State Team will train in Bunbury on Sunday, 9^th March 2025.

Forza Boat Shed, Lot 397 Cobblestone Drive, Bunbury

12:30pm :Opening Ceremony, and racing from 1:00pm to 6:30pm

Briefing start time:

11:45pm – Officials, Volunteers, sweeps, captains and coaches to attend

Race Distance:

200 metres

Standard Boats

Two 20s “Champion” boats  per race (round robin match racing)

Volunteer requirements:

One per club (as per DBWA rules – no volunteer means no racing).  Clubs must advise the name and preferred role of their volunteer at least 48 hours before the event.

Report to Michelle Bettens at the Forza Boat Shed no later than 11:30am.

Youth, Women, Mixed & Open (as per DBWA Grand Prix rules)

Crew Categories

Tens and Twenties.

Combined Crews 

With Forza approval two Clubs are permitted to combine to form Crews, you must nominate other club participants club on your Crew Lists.

Composite Crews

With Forza approval three or more Clubs are permitted to combine to form Crews, you must nominate participants club on your Crew Lists.

Sweeps & Drummers

Clubs are permitted to use male sweeps and drummers for Women’s racing provided the club does not have female participants who can undertake these roles.

Competition Regulations & Racing Rules

As per DBWA’s Competition and Racing Rules. The following rules do not apply: 13 Grand Prix Point System and 16 WA State Championship.

If you need other exemptions in order to be able to compete, please seek approval from the Forza Event Coordinators.

Results Calculation

The object will be to beat your fastest time you have recorded at the first two 200m regattas of the current DBWA season or the previous Forza Twilight Regatta, not necessarily beat the other boat in your same race.

Your Crew may be interested in entering an event and not have any race results for the current season.  Please enter and we will nominate a time for you.

Crew A is the winner because they have beaten their target time by the most.

In this example none of the Crews beat their target time so the winner is the Crew who finished closest to their target time.

Overall, Winners

The Crew with the best result will be declared the winner, the second-best result declared second and the third best result declared third regardless of race category or Division of the crews.
