The Australian Auroras coaches are looking for junior athletes!
The Aurora coaches are searching for junior athletes who have the potential to try out and train with the U16 and U18 Australian Aurora dragon boat teams. These teams will be travelling to China in 2017 with the Australian Senior teams to compete at the 13th World Nations Dragon Boat Championships. Traditionally the World Championships can attract paddlers from up to 20+ countries.
You don’t need to be a current Dragon Boat paddler to try out. Clinic will use land based information sessions and practical paddling demonstrations with all attendees participating in paddle training.
Open to all paddlers 12-18yrs of age. Enrolment is not limited to experienced paddlers, non-paddlers welcome. Club members from any club are welcome to invite their friends to enrol. Attendees not belonging to DBWA will be required to have parent/guardian sign the waiver indemnity form.
Coaching clinic runs from 3 pm to 6 pm on Saturday 14 May 2016 Junior participants are invited to attend an evening meal from 6 pm to 7.30 pm at no extra charge (parents and family welcome to attend for $5 per head).
